Job Summary:

The Document Control Specialist will work as a member of a small team of dedicated and detailoriented professionals supporting Document Control and implementation of Engineering Changes. They will also interface with internal Program Managers and customer Project Managers to ensure that contractual documentation requirements are fulfilled.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Work as a member of a small team review and implement engineering changes to meet business needs maintain ISO 9001 standards and customer contractual requirements.

  • Process changes and revision controls for engineering and manufacturing documentation such as CAD drawings bills of materials engineering change orders part number assignment etc.

  • Facilitate the timely change approval and release of product documentation and data to include modifications to bills of material in the ERP system.

  • Coordinate the controls associated with the transmission of various levels of documentation to external customer systems.

  • Provide support on methods procedures and requirements to individuals responsible for the creation of documentation.

  • Comply with ISO and Military standards consistent with corporate direction and customer requirements.

  • Interpret government contract requirements related to configuration management and review Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs) in support of customer deliverables.

  • Record maintain and report configuration status of AsBuilt baselines as required.

Job Qualifications:

  • HS Degree or equivalent required advanced degree preferred.

  • 24 years of experience in Document Control strongly preferred.

  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP strongly preferred) with Engineering Change Notifications (ECN) and Material Master.

  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of Change Controls Bills of Materials and Drawing Maintenance.

  • Experience with MIL/DoD standards in particular MILHDB61 and EIA649 as they apply to documents such as Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) Configuration Management Drawings etc. preferred.

  • Experience with Global Trade Compliance export policies preferred.

  • Excellent organizational written and communication skills.

  • Ability to multitask efficiently work in a fastpaced environment on multiple projects and have strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization in a professional diplomatic and tactful manner and ability to work as a team member.

  • Selfmotivated and able to work effectively under minimal supervision.

Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen U.S. national legal permanent resident asylee refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
