Description
As a highly valued member of the Forney TX Team this role will manage the finance team overseeing the financial performance of the facility.
AS A CONTROLLER YOU WILL:
Calculate prepare and enter journal entries into Oracle General Ledger.
Ensure plant accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles.
Forecast monthly cost and variance reporting.
Develop department operating budget and monitor performance. Take corrective action(s) to ensure budgets are met within acceptable guidelines.
Compile daily weekly and monthly operational performance reports and make recommendations to plant leadership on cost improvements.
Oversee hourly payroll processing.
Assist in the coordination and reconciliation of the annual physical inventory
Complete yearly internal and external financial audit requests.
Aid in the processing of purchase orders and accounts payable transactions by matching and keying invoices as needed
Create and drive a culture of high performance development and continuous improvement that values accountability learning and a commitment to quality.

REQUIRED EDUCATION EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Bachelors degree in accounting or finance.
5 years in a relevant financial position
The ideal candidate is energetic friendly detailoriented and knowledgeable about accounting and technology.

PREFERRED EDUCATION EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Proficient in Excel
Knowledge of Oracle
Manufacturing or Distribution experience
Onsite Work Arrangement:
This role is based fully onsite and not eligible for hybrid or remote work opportunities.
