Job Description

The Hotel Hershey is situated high atop the town of Hershey and has 276 guest rooms including 10 Villas with 48 luxury sleeping rooms as well as 25000 square feet of meeting and function space. The 1930s hotel is a Historic Hotel of America and a AAA FourDiamond Award winner.
This position is responsible for ensuring that all work performed by the Housekeeping Department in guest rooms and public areas meets expected standards of cleanliness and consistency.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):
Inspect guest rooms and public areas to ensure that employees maintain quality standards*
Assist in training employees in cleaning procedures*
Coach and counsel employees for corrective action*
Proper use of cleaning agents and equipment*
Placement of supplies and amenities*
Monitor staff activity to ensure safe work practices*
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age or older
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 1 year experience working in a hotel setting.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Proven employee/guest relations problem solving and organizational skills.
Professional image representative of company image.
Ability to complete paperwork accurately.
Job Demands:
Physical requirements include walking (up to 95 of the shift) standing bending stooping reaching lifting up to 35 lbs. observing cleanliness of the facility and communicating verbally.
Must be willing to work a flex schedule that includes different shift start and end times. Shifts include: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM; 9:00 AM 5:30 PM; 10:00 AM 6:30 PM; and 2:00 11:00 PM. Weekends and holidays included. Days off will rotate.
