AWS S3 and Glacier Finance seeks a world class Finance Manager to be a key member of its team. This position will work closely with key business partners to drive thoughtful analysis and controllership in the S3 and Glacier services space.
Some key responsibilities will include:
Drive controllership by managing capital spend reporting tracking KPIs and performing variance analysis.
Develop financial insights and narratives during all planning forecasting and reporting cycles.
Closely partner with S3 business team to drive capacity efficiency improvement.
Taking the lead in financial planning and analysis; building complex financial models and analytical tools to set and track overall financial performance against goals.
Be a thought leader to improve and simplify processes drive standardization and build scalable solutions to support business growth.
This role requires a selfstarter with a strong financial modeling background problem solving skills a keen attention to detail ability to work in a fastpaced environment with ambiguous situations and solid skills in project management. This role has regular interaction with various business teams and requires strong people skills
5 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelors degree in finance accounting business economics or a related analytical field (e.g. engineering math computer science) or Bachelors degree and 5 years of quantitative role (engineering process reengineering quality assurance) experience
Experience working with largescale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)
Experience delivering forecasting budgeting and variance analysis and data interpretation of results
5 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
5 years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decisionmaking experience
6 years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
6 years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models analysis and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g. financial savings operational improvements or customer benefits) experience
MBA or CPA
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
6 years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
6 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
