Job Description

Community Charter School of Cambridge (CCSC) is a charter public school that serves students in grades 612. The Director of Student Support for CCSC is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and reports directly to the Head of School.
  • The Director of Student Supports responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Serve on the Senior Leadership Team acting as an advocate for all students and working to develop and implement a shared vision of gapclosing equity antiracism and antioppression high expectations high support and academic rigor
  • Oversee Counseling EL and Special Education Departments including supervising and supporting the Chair / Coordinator for each department and overseeing hiring
  • Create all Special Education / EL programming and staff schedules to ensure compliance
  • Serve as a Special Education Administrator including but not limited to chairing a subset of team meetings (including annual initial and reevaluation); collaborating with the Special Education Compliance Coordinator to monitor and ensure all special education related compliance and review and provide feedback on IEPs and progress notes; and guiding CCSC through periodic Tiered Focused Monitoring
  • Serve as the 504 Coordinator
  • Oversee family programming for Students with Disabilities and English Learners
  • Work with school and boardbased stakeholders to analyze and close gaps for ELs and SWDs
  • Colead the Student Support Team and cosupervise Grade Level Leaders creating and maintaining systems to monitor the progress of students and the effectiveness of interventions
  • Support the Principal Instructional leadership Team and content teachers with the implementation of a multitiered system of supports (MTSS)
  • Collaborate with the Instructional Leadership Team and General Education Teachers to ensure that all accommodations plans are followed with fidelity
  • Effectively plan and deliver professional development for areas related to student support
Qualifications:
  • Massachusetts professionallevel special education licensure required
  • Several years of teaching experience required
  • Experience coaching teachers / school staff required
  • Strong relationshipbuilding skills with youth and adults required
  • Masters Degree required
