Job Description
As an emerging Water Resources Design Engineer at Isthmus Engineering you will join a talented and growing Water Resources team that collaborates with colleagues clients and agencies to efficiently deliver successful transportationrelated projects. You will also have the opportunity to explore and develop in other service areas as you gain experience toward professional licensure. The responsibilities for the position of Water Resources Design Engineer include:
- Collaborating with team members to efficiently deliver successful transportationrelated projects.
- Maintaining steady progress toward developing transportationrelated and water resource engineering abilities.
- Supporting roadway and transit design efforts in accordance with governing design standards.
- Leveraging applicable design software in adherence with Isthmus workflows and agency standards.
- Demonstrating task ownership including documentation and quality reviews within project schedule constraints.
- Evidencing continued commitment to individual company and industry improvement.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:
- Bachelors degree or graduate degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a closely related field.
- FE/EIT certification.
- Two or more years of experience in civil transportation engineering (one or more years of experience in urban and rural drainage).
- Experience with OpenRoads Designer and/or Civil 3D HydroCAD HY8 and other related hydrologic/hydraulic analysis modeling ArcGIS and design software.
The ideal candidate will also demonstrate the following skills:
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Aptitude for and desire to work with CADD.
- Strong time management organizational analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work independently and seek out support when needed.
- Positive teamfocused attitude.

Compensation and Benefits
- The anticipated base salary range for this position is $70000$85000/year for a 40hour base work week. Compensation will be based upon experience education skill level and other factors.
