AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design planning delivery and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words were the people who keep the cloud running. Were seeking an experienced Manager of Technical Infrastructure Program Managers in Herndon VA to oversee data center build projects. They will manage a team of TIPMs responsible to work across functional and technical teams from conceptual design feasibility through requirements budget completed design implementation testing and deployment. Along the way you will use your judgment negotiation skills ability to influence without authority analytical talent technical aptitude and leadership to collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders across multiple time zones manage capital budgets eliminate nonvalueadd activity design solutions remove blockers and find creative ways to accelerate project delivery.

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator (both written and verbal) not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities and be capable of understanding mechanical/electrical engineering concepts with additional experience in strategic planning and medium to large program management. They will be able to apply a variety of project management tools methodologies and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle and exhibit demonstrated experience in core project management disciplines including scope schedule budget resources quality and risk management reporting and metric development/tracking. Other requirements include experience with MS Office MS Project and MS SharePoint. Experience with Tableau KanBan Playbook SQL and systems integration a plus.

*Bachelors Degree AND 5 years of project management experience OR 8 years of project management experience (experience can be substituted for degree).
*5 years in core project management disciplines including scope schedule budget quality along with risk and critical path management.
*5 years in analytical quantitative communication and presentations.
*2 Years of direct people management or leading matrixed teams and individuals across multiple locations.
*2 Years with MS Project MS Office and MS SharePoint.

*Masters Degree or advanced professional degree.
*Certifications in management of complex high value technology infrastructure projects.
*Good understanding of data center technologies.
*Experience in managing data center infrastructure deployments.
*Experience with and deep understanding of multiple project management methodologies.
