SUMMARY
Effectively manage the learning environment to prepare lesson plans in Spanish and/or English instruct students in Spanish and/or English evaluate and monitor students performance in order to advance student achievement. Understand and appreciate diversity. Work collaboratively with a team to plan instruction. Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Arizona Elementary Certificate K8with Spanish Bilingual Endorsement (Spanish approved area also required if teaching Spanish)andProvisional or Permanent Gifted Endorsement or willingness to pursue during theschool year ORArizona Early Childhood Certificate Birth to Age8with Spanish Bilingual Endorsement (Spanish approved area also required if teaching Spanish)andProvisional or Permanent Gifted Endorsement or willingness to pursue during theschool year

DUAL LANGUAGE INCENTIVE 20252026SY
Tucson Unified School District will pay a DualLanguage Recruitment and Retention Incentive Stipend of $5000 that will be available to newtotheDistrict incoming certified teachers and to certified teachers who currently work for the District that meet the following criteria:
The teacher must work for the District fulltime in a duallanguage classroom
The teacher must have a Teaching Certificate with Spanish bilingual endorsement from the Arizona Department of Education
The stipend will be prorated based on the FTE of the coursework and/or hire date. Qualified recipients who are working for the District at the end of the Fall Semester will receive $2500 in December 2025. Qualified recipients who are working for the District at the completion of their contract will receive $2500 in May 2026.
Probationary Contracts will be issued for any contingent Certifications Positions that are 0.6 FTE or less and certified employees within their first three years with the District.
