Job Description
CLASS TITLE:MCHS Band Guard Director
BASIC FUNCTION:
Sponsor in various school extracurricular programs.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
- Promote extracurricular programs in the schools and community.
- Plan the assigned extracurricular program.
- Organize and supervise practices and meetings.
- Teach individual fundamental skills of the extracurricular activity.
- Check eligibility of participants including insurance coverage and parent consent.
- Provide students a proper role model emotional support patience a friendly attitude and general guidance.
- Recommend the purchase of equipment and supplies as appropriate for the health safety and welfare of participants.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- Maintain regular attendance.
- Adhere to the Professional Code of Ethics
- Follow all McCracken County Public Schools Policies and Procedures.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Fundamentals of various extracurricular activities.
- Health and safety regulations.
- Interpersonal skills using tact patience and courtesy.
ABILITY TO:
- Understand and follow oral and written directions.
- Read interpret apply and explain rules regulations policies and procedures.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Any combination equivalent to: a high school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate or a minimum of 64 semester hours from an accredited college or university.
LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Successful completion a criminal records check current certification in first aid and CPR.
