Description
The Systems Engineer Summer Intern will work alongside the Engineering Team at the Charleston location gaining handson experience in systems engineering. This role involves assisting with system design analysis and testing as well as contributing to software development projects.
- Assisting in the design and analysis of engineering systems
- Participating in system modeling and simulation activities
- Supporting software development efforts including coding and testing
- Collaborating with team members to understand project requirements and deliverables
- Documenting work performed and maintain project records
- Attending team meetings and contribute to discussions
- Learning and applying systems engineering principles and methodologies
Environment:The intern will work in a dynamic collaborative environment with a team of experienced engineers. The role involves working on realworld projects and gaining valuable handson experience in systems engineering. The intern must be able to work independently and as part of a team and be comfortable with a fastpaced work environment.

Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a rising junior in a Bachelors degree program in Systems Engineering Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Strong academic record with a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Basic understanding of systems engineering principles and methodologies
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python C or Java
- Familiarity with software development tools and version control systems (e.g. Git)
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Desired Skills
- Experience with system modeling and simulation tools (e.g. MATLAB Simulink)
- Knowledge of network protocols and network security
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud)
- Basic understanding of hardware and software integration
