Job Description
Title: Talent Data Analyst
Duration: Fulltime
Location: Hybrid in Washington DC must be local
Mode of Interview: Video
The Talent Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing transforming and visualizing Talent Department data to generate reports dashboards and actionable insights for firm leadership. This role involves translating complex data into meaningful visual narratives while utilizing scripting and machine learning tools to enhance analytics. The ideal candidate should have strong proficiency in Power BI SQL and Python to develop impactful dashboards and deliver datadriven insights.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Designing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports to analyze key business metrics.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver insights.
- Using Python for data analysis automation and advanced modeling.
- Writing complex SQL queries for data extraction transformation and optimization.
- Integrating machine learning or learning tools to support predictive analytics.
- Providing actional insights based on indepth data analysis to inform strategic decisions and improve operational efficiency.
- Developing automated reporting processes using Microsoft 365 office platforms.
- Ensuring data accuracy integrity and confidentiality.
- Supporting decisionmaking processes by providing clear actionable insights.
- Developing and implementing predictive models to forecast trends.
- Creating and maintaining documentation for data sources methodologies and processes used to create reports and visualizations.
Qualifications:
- Fouryear college degree required equivalent work experience considered.
- Minimum of two 2 years of experience in business intelligence and/or data analytic roles.
- Law firm or professional services firm experience a plus.
- Proficient in Power BI DAX and Power Query.
- Expertlevel SQL skills (joins window functions performing tuning).
- Strong Python experience (pandas numpy scikitlearn etc.
- Minimum of two years of handson experience in Microsoft Power BI (Power BI Desktop Power BI Service and Power BI Mobile) for data visualization and dashboarding.
- Minimum of two years of experience with TSQL for data extraction manipulation and analysis.
- Ability to produce clear and concise business documentation
- Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements and processes into easily understandable visualizations.
- Proficiency in data visualization best practices and design principles
- Experience with data modeling ETL processes and database management is a plus.
- Knowledge of data related programming languages (Python R .NET platform Boomi) and additional BI tools is a plus.
- Experience with Azure Data Services / Azure Fabric is a plus
- Experience with UKG is a plus
- Experience with systems specific to the Legal Industry such as Aderant Expert and Intapp Time are a plus
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft M365 and/or related software.
- Ability to leverage expertise in data visualization and analysis to transform complex datasets into actionable insights.
