Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager for a luxury safari lodge located in the heart of the Kruger National Park. This livein role is perfect for a handson proactive professional with a strong technical background and a passion for delivering high standards in lodge operations and infrastructure upkeep.
Oversee the daily operations of the maintenance department
Ensure all lodge infrastructure including buildings vehicles plumbing electrical systems and machinery are maintained and fully operational
Lead train and manage the maintenance team to ensure high performance and adherence to safety standards
Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
Maintain records of all maintenance work and ensure that reporting is accurate and up to date
Manage budgets and procurement of tools materials and supplies
Liaise with lodge management to plan and prioritise work in accordance with operational needs
Ensure compliance with all health safety and environmental regulations
Minimum 5 years experience in a maintenance management role ideally within the hospitality or lodge environment
Relevant technical qualifications or certifications (electrical plumbing mechanical etc.
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent problemsolving abilities and a handson approach
Solid understanding of health and safety compliance
Computer literate with basic proficiency in maintenance reporting tools
Ability to live and work in a remote bush environment
Valid drivers license
