Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced branch manager who holds a valid Customs G Card to oversee branch operations with a particular focus on customs clearance and regulatory compliance. This role combines leadership responsibilities with deep knowledge of customs procedures to ensure smooth efficient and compliant import/export operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Branch Operations and Management:
- Oversee the daytoday operations of the branch ensuring all activities align with company policies and objectives.
- Lead and manage a team of operations logistics and documentation staff.
- Monitor performance metrics productivity and customer satisfaction levels.
- Ensure costeffective use of resources and control branch budgets.
Customs Compliance and Clearance:
- Serve as the official point of contact for customs authorities.
- Oversee and execute customs clearance processes for import/export shipments.
- Ensure all documentation complies with customs regulations tariffs and trade laws.
- Resolve any customsrelated issues or delays on time.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of relevant legislation and customs procedures.
Client and Vendor Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients government agencies port authorities and logistics providers.
- Provide expert guidance to clients on customs requirements and documentation.
- Handle escalations and ensure timely resolution of client concerns.
- Leadership and Team Development:
- Train mentor and evaluate team members to maintain high levels of expertise and efficiency.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and compliance awareness.
Requirements
- Valid Customs G Card holder (mandatory).
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in Customs Clearance with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Indepth knowledge of customs regulations HS codes import/export documentationand clearance procedures.
- Excellent leadership communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in logistics software and ERP systems.
- Familiarity with port operations and international shipping practices.
- Strong analytical and decisionmaking abilities.
