Heavy Duty Vehicle Operator
Responsibilities:
- Operating heavyduty vehicles to transport materials goods or equipment.
- Ensuring the timely and safe delivery of items to designated locations.
- Conducting pretrip and posttrip vehicle inspections.
- Adhering to all road safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Maintaining accurate logs of hours worked mileage and deliveries.
- Handling the loading and unloading of cargo as required.
- Reporting any vehicle issues or accidents to management promptly.
- Ensuring proper securing of loads to prevent damage during transit.
- Holding a valid heavyduty vehicle driver s license (e.g. CDL).
- Demonstrating proven experience in operating heavyduty trucks or machinery.
- Possessing strong knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Ability to perform vehicle maintenance checks and basic repairs.
- Maintaining good physical condition and stamina for long driving hours.
- Exhibiting excellent communication and navigation skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow delivery schedules.
- Basic understanding of loading/unloading procedures and safety protocols.
