Job Description

Environmental & Sustainability Manager - Food Manufacturing

Location: Colnbrook, Slough
Working Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: 65,000 - 70,000 per annum

We're working with a
leading UK food manufacturer to recruit an Environmental & Sustainability Manager for a newly created role based at their production site in Slough.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking business that has already made significant progress on its journey toward Carbon Net Zero. You'll be stepping into an autonomous leadership role, working closely with senior stakeholders to develop and implement environmental and energy management systems, align with ISO standards, and represent the business within an international sustainability framework.

Key Focus Areas

  • Developing environmental and energy systems in line with ISO 14001 and ISO 50001
  • Managing data and reporting for carbon footprint (Scope 1, 2, and 3
  • Leading compliance initiatives, including SECR and Climate Change Agreements
  • Driving energy efficiency, waste reduction, and supplier sustainability performance
  • Representing the site at group-level sustainability meetings

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Background in environmental or sustainability management within manufacturing (ideally food/FMCG)
  • Knowledge of environmental legislation, ISO standards, and carbon reporting frameworks
  • Strong leadership, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • AMIEMA or equivalent professional membership desirable
