Afternoons with Sofie Formica Producer
At 4BC youll join a team that defines the benchmark for news and sports broadcasting with Queenslands most influential commentators journalists and broadcasters. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the 4BC Afternoons program hosted by Sofie Formica. Working weekdays from 8am4pm this opportunity would suit an individual with proven years of experience looking to enhance their skills work alongside industry leaders and make an impact at one of Brisbanes most prominent radio stations.
Day to day you will:
- Assist the Executive Producer in creating and delivering engaging audiencefocused content.
- Develop and research content ideas write and edit stories and ensure all material is accurate and legally sound.
- Manage and monitor live show callers ensuring suitability for airing.
- Collaborate with the Sales and Promotions teams to commercialise content and brainstorm new ideas.
- Work closely with the News and Digital teams to maintain content consistency across platforms.
- Investigate story tips liaise with sources and conduct interviews.
Qualifications :
What we would like to see:
- Proven experience in radio television or news media production.
- Strong knowledge of news and current affairs.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional phone manner.
- Strong communication skills with experience in broadcast writing.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fastpaced deadlinedriven environment.
- Sound understanding of media and broadcast law.
- A team player who is eager to learn and contribute
- A degree in Media Journalism or a related field.
- Social media and digital content skills.
