Qualifications :
Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED and three years of relevant work experience.
or
Bachelors degree
At the discretion of Senior Management additional education may qualify an individual with less experience
Primary Duties and Responsibilities of Lab Materials and Records Specialist:
- Maintain daily temperature and humidity records for test material storage areas.
- Maintain calendar and coordinate the contracted calibration and services of balances chart recorders pipettes timers thermometers and weights.
- Identify label and prepare study related documents folders and test materials for archiving.
- Return test materials to Sponsor when necessary.
- Assist in purchasing office clinical and various departmental supplies and maintain inventory database.
- Assist with test material log in procedures and database.
- Assigns a CRL study number to all test materials and designate a panel to clinical studies.
- Maintain tracking systems for the transfer of documents and test materials to and from archive areas and the disposal and return of items.
- Archive and retrieve test materials study folders and documents.
- Prepare and maintain necessary forms and database for archiving and retrieving test materials and study documents.
- Prepare facilities for Client visits. Order lunches and keep conference room stocked.
- Perform department specific procedures as qualified by training and evaluation of proficiency.
- Must be able to lift and move around at least 50 lbs. on a regular basis to assist with product and study document handling.
- Primary Duties and Responsibilities of Patch Preparation Technician:
- Maintain preparation area by tracking supplies organizing materials regulating patch assembly and test material application methods.
- Prepare test materials for clinical studies following study protocol and sponsor requirements.
- Assemble and prepare dermal patches assuring appropriate patch type/patch test conditions.
- Apply required amount of test material to patches.
- Verify sample identification/test concentration used for clinical studies following sponsor requirements and study protocol.
- Prepare test material containers/sample jars verifying proper identification of test material/concentration/study number.
- Assume receipt of required supplies.
- Maintain the patch count each day.
- Prepare test samples for archive.
- Maintain the daily calendar.
- Perform daily temperature/humidity and balance weight checks.
- Perform double checks of all prep room related study documentation.
- Training new staff members on all prep room responsibilities.
- Perform department specific procedures as qualified by training and evaluation of proficiency.
