Senior Construction Consultant

You will be responsible for investigating constructionrelated issues on a wide array of construction projects in the public and private sector and providing support and recommendations as required. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of field experience in vertical civil transportation and/or industrial construction and/or an advanced degree. Additionally they should possess construction scheduling experience and ability demonstrating proficiency in developing and maintaining project schedules using industrystandard tools and methodologies.

Moreover the candidate must demonstrate proficiency in understanding plans specifications contracts schedules and other typical construction documents. Additionally the candidate should possess strong problemsolving abilities and the capacity to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders. An understanding of the construction and delay disruption claims process is a plus.

Job Responsibilities:

• Interface with clients and project representatives
• Perform project assessments and necessary site visits.
• Project evaluation and assistance with costtocomplete estimates.
• Serve as liaison for our clients with owners contractors and other professionals.
• Participate in meetings with project owners contractors and other professionals.
• Provide requested work product and communication with clients and team.
• Review change orders contracts and other construction documents.
• Maintain required file work quality standards project documentation and deliverables.
• Represent JS Held and its clients in a professional manner.

Qualifications :

• Minimum 5 years of field experience in public or private construction
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
• Strong understanding of administrative and construction processes of commercial construction projects
• Must have excellent writing skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Proficiency with P6 and Bluebeam is a plus
• Scheduling and Cost Estimating experience is a plus
• Delay impact productivity and extra work claim preparation and analysis is a plus
• Experienced in procuring scheduling and managing subcontractors
• Strong analysis and critical thinking skills
• Must be detail oriented
• Ability to communicate and work within a team setting
• Ability to work on multiple projects and assignments concurrently
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadline

Preferred Qualifications:

• Construction management and/or civil engineering related degrees credentials or certifications.
• P.E. EIT PMP and other certifications.

Physical and Mental Job Qualifications

• Willingness to travel locally or outofstate.
• Ability to work on construction sites.

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $125000 $175000. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset experience training location scope of role management responsibility etc.
