The AbbVie EXCEL Externship Overview
The AbbVie EXCEL Externship is a twoday immersive experience for sophomore students interested in future internships with AbbVie. Students will join us at AbbVies Headquarters in Lake County IL during the Summer of 2025 to:
Get immersed in AbbVies culture
Gain handson experience in a variety of key business areas
Build an extended network of AbbVie representatives senior leaders and students from across the country
Participate in crossfunctional professional development opportunities
Learn more about AbbVies career opportunities
Be considered for an internship for the following summer
AbbVie will provide travel transportation and lodging for eligible students.

The AbbVie Excel Externship in Business Technology Solutions serves as a key talent pipeline for our Business Technology Solutions AbbVie Internship Program. Externship participants are strongly considered for Internship opportunities within Business Technology Solutions for the following year.
Our BTS team works on meaningful assignments that have a real impact on our business and patients worldwide while also combining technical and business knowledge with analytical strength and creative worldwide business offers you an opportunity for a variety of potential work experiences that are aligned to a variety of functional areas including:
Project Management

Information Security
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications:
Pursuing a Bachelors degree with an expected graduation date between Dec 2026 June 2027.
Majoring in or strong interest in exploring opportunities in:
Management Information Systems Information Technology Computer Science Business Analytics Data Analytics Computer Engineering User Design Business Administration
Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will combine technical and business knowledge with analytical strength and creative problemsolving abilities
Previous internship or related experience
Proven track record of teamwork adaptability innovation initiative and integrity
Excellent communication leadership and project management skills
Cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher preferred
