Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Lodge Management Couple for a luxury game lodge situated in the heart of the Sabi Sands. This is a livein position ideal for a dynamic duo who are passionate about the bush and capable of running highend lodge operations efficiently and professionally.
Livein accommodation with private ensuite partially furnished
Meals provided while on duty
Laundry services and WiFi included
Participation in the monthly staff gratuity pool (excluding guides and trackers)
Provident fund contribution after three months (upon permanent appointment)
6 weeks on / 2 weeks off work cycle (flexibility required based on operational needs)
Operational Management:
Oversee daily lodge operations across all departments (housekeeping maintenance F&B admin guest relations guiding)
Ensure smooth coordination between departments for optimal guest experience
Team Leadership:
Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team including guides trackers chefs housekeeping service and admin staff
Conduct regular performance reviews training sessions and team meetings
Guest Experience:
Deliver an exceptional guest experience with attention to personalized service
Respond promptly to guest feedback requests and special requirements
Financial and Admin Oversight:
Assist with budget management and financial reporting
Control procurement stock management and inventory systems to reduce waste
Health Safety & Compliance:
Maintain all health hygiene and safety standards
Ensure operational continuity by addressing issues promptly
Sustainability & Conservation:
Encourage and implement ecofriendly operational practices
Support and educate guests and staff on conservation efforts
For Both Partners:
Matric (Grade 12 and First Aid certification
3 5 years in a management role within a luxury 4 or 5star lodge environment
Strong leadership and organizational capabilities
Outstanding guest relations and communication skills
Handson approach and proactive mindset
For One Partner (Field Guide):
FGASA Full Trails Guide qualification and NQF Level 4 certification
DEAT and valid PDP license
Extensive knowledge in guiding bush safety and conservation practices
Ability to maintain guiding equipment and vehicles
For the Other Partner:
Experience in lodge operations administration F&B and housekeeping
Financial management skills (budgeting stock control reporting)
Familiarity with lodge reservation systems preferred
