Job Description

Position:Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher Position

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is thrilled to announce the opportunity for dedicated and skilled professionals to apply for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher position for the upcoming academic year. This role involves working across various grade levels in our district to provide vital support and specialized education to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

In this role the educator will be responsible for customizing and adapting curriculum resources to meet the unique learning styles of each student. They will regularly assess student performance to track growth and adjust instructional strategies accordingly. Providing individualized instruction is central to this position ensuring that each learner receives the targeted support they need to succeed. Additionally the teacher will play a key role in guiding and equipping school staff with the tools and knowledge to better support students who are deaf or hard of hearing. A major part of the job involves developing and managing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) while also fostering clear and collaborative communication among families educators and students to create a cohesive support system.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills and hold a Bachelor s Degree in Deaf Education or Special Education. Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is highly preferred as is a valid Georgia PEL certification with an endorsement in Deaf and Hard of Hearing. A strong understanding of the IEP process along with experience in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs is essential. Additionally candidates should have prior experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a school setting.
