The opportunity:
Are you ready to turn your data expertise into a force for good Join GenVs Data Governance and Analytics team and become a key player in reshaping the way we use research data for public benefit.
This is more than just a data jobits a chance to lead a movement. Youll build nextgeneration data pipelines harness the power of cloud platforms and help create seamless systems that make our data truly FAIR (Findable Accessible Interoperable Reusable).

Generation Victoria (GenV) is one of the worlds largest and most inclusive birth and intergenerational research cohorts with over 125000 participants across Victoria. Launched in 2021 GenV aims to solve complex health and wellbeing challenges facing children and premidlife adults by 2035.

Your responsibilities include:
- Leveraging cloud platforms for scalable and automated data pipelines to facilitate faster data delivery.
- Build and package researcherready datasets that are relevant accurate and validated empowering researchers with trusted Cloud based data platform for discovery.
- Using AI and ML based data services to automate data quality monitoring and correction to maintain high data reliability.
- Design and automate survey data pipelines using Python/R and Cloud Data services (Preferably AWS Glue and Athena) to seamlessly handle structured and unstructured data such as photos videos and PDFs.
- Automate data profiling and generate quality assurance reports with key metrics leveraging visualization tools to pinpoint challenges reveal insights and proactively resolve issues swiftly.
- Create a proactive metadata system at the survey design stage crafting researcherfriendly resources data dictionaries ontology mappings and deduplicated datasets tracked with version control (e.g. Git).
What we need from you:
- Highquality work experience and tertiary qualification (Honours Masters or PhD) in computer science data science statistics epidemiology health informatics or public/clinical health or equivalent as evidenced by academic transcripts
- Strong skills in curating managing health or epidemiological data from large surveys or longitudinal research
- Experience in using Cloud Data Services (preferably AWS) and Python/R to build data and metadata pipelines
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills written and verbal to foster stakeholder relationships and deliver clear timely outcomes
- Proven ability to multitask manage time effectively solve problems and excel independently or in collaborative teams
