Synerfac is looking for a Division Controller for our client in Dulles VA. Our Client is an expert in MEP building systems and provides integrated full lifecycle solutions that optimize the design construction operation and efficiency of buildings.
As the Division Controller youll partner and collaborate closely with Division Leadership and Corporate Finance teams to drive operational and financial excellence. Your role involves leading the administrative risk management financial planning accounting and budgeting functions for the division. In this critical role you will be an integral part of the growth and expansion of the Divisions financial and market potential.
Responsibilities:
Partnering with Division Leadership to set and implement division objectives aligned with corporate goals.
Providing consultation and training to division and operational leaders on financial matters.
Collaborating with department leaders to develop and meet budgets prepare expense forecasts and track spending against budgets.
Researching and interpreting accounting policy ensuring compliance with corporate policy state and federal laws and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Managing processes to support customer and subcontractor relationships and negotiating favorable contract terms.
Overseeing daily operations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting systems operations and internal controls.
Optimizing business efficiencies through process improvements related to accounting and administrative operations.
Ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial and operations data to support job cost management forecasting and decisionmaking.
Supporting staff in effectively using ERP and related systems for project planning and financial management.
Overseeing business compliance including maintenance of local business licenses management of insurance and bonding matters oversight of union labor agreements and participation in annual independent audits.
Develop and implement strategies for division accounting team collaboration professional development and growth.
Develop and present financial models and forecasts to inform key business strategies investments and resource allocation.
Skills Required:
Financial Acumen: A deep understanding of financial principles including accounting budgeting financial analysis and risk management is essential. The ability to interpret financial data identify trends and make strategic recommendations is crucial.
Leadership and Collaboration: The successful candidate should be able to effectively lead and collaborate with crossfunctional teams including Division Leadership Corporate Finance teams department leaders and operational staff. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building relationships and driving consensus.

Bachelor in business accounting or finance highly preferred.
8 years of inrole experience in a seniorlevel finance or accounting role and/or
CPA license preferred.
