The Knopf Doubleday Creative Services department seeks an Art Director to lead a team of three designers in the creation of marketing assets ranging from online advertising online promotion/social media assets (static/animated/video) lifestyle photography pointofsale materials and promotional merchandise. Reporting to the VP & Director Creative Marketing & Advertising Services this experienced leader in art direction will be day one ready to work alongside a team of marketers editors creatives and publishing professionals to position our books here at KDPG.

The Art Director will work closely with marketers across the division to ensure that our advertising and promotional materials reflect a modern aesthetic and present our books and authors in the most dynamic and persuasive manner. They should stay abreast of marketing trends in books specifically but also across all media to ensure that our ads have the greatest chance of grabbing consumers attention. They are attuned to datadriven decision making and driven by marrying performance with artistic creativity. Multitasking and problemsolving are second nature to them and they thrive on working on multiple projects simultaneously. The Art Director will take on projects themselves assign tasks to the team of designers and manage a freelancer budget to ensure a consistent high level of quality across the groups creative assets. They will have the ability to think strategically about how our assets represent our books authors imprints and the company as a whole.

The salary range for this position is $100000$115000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus subject to Company results.
This hybrid position has occasional inoffice responsibilities including but not limited to inoffice meetings author visits or events and daily ad hoc administrative projects. We will consider candidates who can work from a commutable distance to our offices at 1745 Broadway which includes the tristate area (NJ CT & PA).
