Job Description
Overview
Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a DevOps Engineer (Ansible & SNET) supporting a DoD Customers Classified Network Services. The mission will include Operations Compliance Cyber Security Customer Service and Engineering. The right Desktop Systems Administrator candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.
Responsibilities
- Develops and manages Ansible playbooks modules and configurations for both Unix and Windows environments.
- Utilizes Ansibles agentless configuration management approach to automate infrastructure provisioning and software deployment.
- Troubleshoots and resolves issues across development testing and production environments.
- Administers and maintains Ansible infrastructure providing SMElevel support and ensuring best practices are followed.
- Collaborates with the GITM engineering team to design and implement Ansiblebased solutions for a distributed data center environment.
- Automates business processes and software deployments using various frameworks and scripting languages (e.g. Python Bash JavaScript).
- Implements and performs security testing code reviews and provides engineering solutions to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Uses Ansible to handle postTerraform provisioning tasks such as configuring operating systems installing software packages and setting up application services after infrastructure resources are created.
- Automates the configuration management of Terraformprovisioned infrastructure by integrating Ansible playbooks to enforce desired state configurations across cloud and onprem environments.
- Leverages Ansible for continuous configuration and compliance management ensuring that Terraformprovisioned infrastructure stays aligned with security and operational policies over time.
Qualifications
Clearance Required: TS/SCI.
Degree and Years of Experience: 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD.
Required Certifications:
- DoD 8570.1M IAT Level III certification.
Required Skills:
- While your primary focus will be onAnsible we also expect a solid understanding ofTerraformto assist in provisioning and managing cloud resources. Your expertise in both automation tools will help drive infrastructureascode practices enabling seamless reliable and scalable operations across our systems.
- Experience in software engineering and integration of Commercial OfftheShelf software products.
