Job Description
GARNEY CONSTRUCTION
A Project Manager position is available at Garney Construction. To be considered for this position you must have previous project management experience in the federal construction industry.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Managing cost and Work In Progress projections.
- Managing job site supervisory personnel.
- Planning and scheduling the project.
- Developing and maintaining owner relations.
- Negotiating and purchasing materials.
- Establishing and enforcing job site safety expectations.
- Managing project costs.
- Overseeing labor projections.
- Contract negotiation and administration.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Education/Certification/Security
BS in Civil Mechanical or related Engineering field
PE license preferred
EM 385 40hour and/or OSHA 30hour certification preferred
USACE CQM Certificate preferred
Must be able to provide security badging on U.S. military installations
Valid Real ID drivers license and U.S. passport
Work Experience
710 years of progressive Federal construction experience preferably in water wastewater or heavy civil projects
Participation in Federal industry groups (e.g. SAME) preferred
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Understanding of Federal construction contract administration QC and safety requirements
Proficiency in MS Office P6 scheduling Bluebeam and CAD software
Strong grasp of quality management concepts and audit procedures
Expertise in Federal Government Quality Management programs
Ability to read interpret and communicate plans and specifications
Field experience as Engineer Superintendent or QC Manager preferred
Excellent communication and organizational skills
