ROLE SUMMARY:

St Georges International School is seeking to appoint a French Teacher for its Senior School to implement and deliver a rich and engaging international curriculum tailored to the age aptitude and abilities of students while upholding the schools positive ethos and core values at all times both in and beyond the classroom. Teachers at St Georges contribute to a collaborative and supportive school environment working closely with teaching and nonteaching staff parents and the board of directors. We are looking for an outstanding French teacher with a passion for language and culture who is committed to excellence and to inspiring students aged 1018 through dynamic and purposeful teaching.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrate an international mindset and collaborate effectively in a multilingual and multicultural environment.
  • Exhibit expertise and experience teachingIB French BandIGCSE French Language with a strong preference for candidates experienced in teachingFrench Aand Language and Literature Frenchcourses.
  • Strive for excellence as a practitioner with the drive and energy to inspire outstanding teaching and learning outcomes.
  • Commit to raising standards by setting high expectations for students and personal performance.
  • Approach challenges with a proactive positive calm and flexible attitude.
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication organizational and interpersonal skills fostering strong relationships with students parents and colleagues.
  • Attend parentteacher/guardian conferences and meetings as required by the school.
  • Write detailed and constructive reports on student progress in alignment with school policies.
  • Participate in team meetings and engage with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and teaching strategies.
  • Cover classes when necessary in the absence of colleagues.
  • Act as a role model for students and represent the school positively adhering to its dress code and behavioral expectations.
  • Promote a collaborative and supportive working environment contributing as a dynamic team member.
  • Support students as a tutor and form part of the pastoral fabric of the school.
  • Offer a club as part of the extracurricular programme.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • Proven experience teachingIB French BandIGCSE French Language with additional experience inFrench Aand Language and Literature French courses preferred.
  • Ability to set clear expectations and ambitious goals adapting teaching styles based on feedback to ensure optimal student outcomes.
  • Indepth understanding of Frenchlanguage curricula and a track record of delivering engaging highquality lessons.
  • Strong assessment skills to evaluate student progress and provide actionable feedback to enhance performance.
  • Excellent preparation and planning skills with confidence in integrating ICT into teaching.
  • Genuine care and attention to student welfare ensuring a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • A minimum of a university degree and certified teaching status with appropriate righttowork documentation.
  • Previous experience teaching Senior and Middle School students (aged 1018 years) and confidence in managing diverse classroom dynamics.
  • Unwavering commitment to student development and a passion for fostering a love for French.
  • Dynamic enthusiastic and motivating personality with resilience and adaptability to meet the demands of a dynamic teaching role.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and a mindset focused on improvement.
