We are currently seeking a talented and motivated developer with a strong desire to work on HANA Relational Engine and HANA Datalake. As a successful candidate for this role you will have excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills fluency in coding and systems design solid communication skills and a desire to solve complex problems of scale which are uniquely SAP. You will have the opportunity to contribute your expertise to HANA Relational Engine and HANA Datalake.
What youll do
Design implement document and maintain various modules within HANA Relational Engine and HANA Datalake.
Strive for continuous improvement manage the product lifecycle and collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure a positive user experience.
Own the longterm health and stability of HANA Relational Engine and HANA Datalake.
Identify areas of improvement to the current design and advocate for alternative methods to enhance the current working set.
Innovate file patents and generate IP for SAP.
Provide alternative diagnostic methods to resolve both inhouse and customerreported problems.
Design debug analyze and resolve complex database engine problems for customers and SAP internal stakeholders.
Own and work with an engineering team in different geographic locations to diagnose and resolve design issues and customerreported problems.
Interact with critical customers around the globe through email calls etc. and work towards resolving escalations.
Articulate technical information clearly.
Provide training and assist on knowledge transfer.
Prioritize tasks develop detailed designs and estimate the effort required to complete projects.
Analyze the performance and scalability of HANA Relational Engine and HANA Datalake.
What you bring
a toptier educational institute with37years work experience.
Good knowledge of database architecture and possess analytical skills.
Experience in designing architecting and developing scalable services utilizing microservice architecture.
Experience in distributed computing development such as distributed database design cluster file system etc. is a strong plus.
Able to multitask and work independently and take initiative to prioritize and resolve problems.
Excellent verbal and communication skills.
Techyoubring
You have a strong knowledge of C and C programming languages with some knowledge in database internals and/or operating system internals with strong debugging skills.
Advanced LINUX and UNIX skills and experience (specifically with multithreaded architecture synchronization mechanisms etc.
Strong understanding of cloud development environment tools and languages for example Kubernetes Python go. Some knowledge around aws azure gcp etc
