Your contribution to Prysmians Success:
We are looking for a Installation Survey Engineer to join our Headquarter based in Milan. The Installation Survey Engineer is involved in the engineering survey works relevant to submarine cables. Availability to follow the of the survey activity on site both onshore and offshore with frequent business trips 60/70.
Your contribution to Prysmians Success:
Project phase: engineering and operations of marine geophysical and geotechnical survey.
Detailed design of the marine geophysical and geotechnical survey project scope of work.
Preparation of the technical specifications for the survey Request for Quotation evaluation of survey subcontractors tenders selection of the most viable technically and commercially convenient solution.
Managing of the survey subcontractor during the whole survey lifespan monitoring quality costs and progress: engineering and operations procedure and mobilization plan field works also with direct onsite supervision as required including assessment of survey data and route engineering final reporting and charting.
Cable route design and support to the detailed engineering of cable installation and protection.
Survey documentation and data review and management for delivery to the Employer.
Survey documentation and data review and management for handover to Installation Operation.
Survey project closeout and Lessons Learned.
Feedback on final actual survey costs.
Keeping survey relevant knowhow updated (equipment software etc..
You are the right fit if you have/are:
Fluent in English
A masters degree in Geology/Geophysics or similar Engineering
Availability to follow the of the survey activity on site both onshore and offshore with frequent business trips 60/70. Trips can be domestic and abroad and can last several weeks and in most of the cases it is requested to follow the activities from a vessel
Knowledge about geophysical equipment and techniques.
Knowledge about geotechnical equipment and techniques.
Knowledge about geotechnical behavior of soils.
Knowledge and practical experience with GIS (in particular ArcGIS).
Knowledge about cartography and datum transformation.
Problem solving target oriented with a specific focus on field activity.
Team working capability.
Entry level to/2 years of experience in similar role and area.
