Job Description
Position Purpose
The candidate must be able to work DAYTIME AND EVENING AVAILABIITY REQUIRED IN THE GREATER YOUNGSTOWN AREA.
Stark State College is looking for an Adjunct Instructor who will teach in traditional and nontraditional modalities.- Must be able to prepare instructional materials; assess the student performance which included electronic submission of Never Attends Early Alerts and final grades by the required date; and ability to work with different learning styles.
- Must have the ability to work effectively with the student population.
- Must be able to develop and implement innovative approaches to pedagogy including instruction of both developmental and nondevelopmental courses.
This is a parttime position. Hours may include day and evening in Mahoning Valley.Essential Functions
- Experience in collegelevel teaching is strongly preferred.
- Must be able to develop and implement innovative approaches to the learning environment including instruction of both developmental and college courses.
- Must possess excellent organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to function effectively and productively in teambased initiatives is critical.
- Ability to use technology that includes MS Office programs and internetdelivered materials is required.
- Enthusiasm for teaching and continuous professional development is highly valued.
This position is for Mahoning Valley inperson and evening classes.
