Job Description
JOB TITLE: FLOOR TECHNICIAN
LOCATION: NATO Joint Force Command
STATUS: FULLTIME
ALL QUALIFIED APPLICANTS MUST APPLY THROUGH: INFORMATION:
Able to performs floor care such as waxing stripping buffing and other contractual duties according to regulations.
POSITION TITLE: Custodian/Floor Technician
DAYS: MonFri
HOURS: 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM
PAY RATE: $16.40
Job Summary:
Floor Technician is responsible for the overall floor maintenance of hard surface and carpet (stripping waxing buffing shampooing extraction & bonneting) areas that include offices work area lobbies entrances stairwells and other public areas.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follows all safety requirements and procedures at all times
- Operates Various types of equipment used for floor care maintenance such as: automatic scrubbers floor machines and wet/dry vacuum
- Performs preventative maintenance check on all equipment prior to use
- Provides floor care including buffing and burnishing on hard surface
- Provides floor maintenance; including but not limited to stripping waxing buffing shampooing bonneting and extracting carpets
- Moves furniture and other heavy objects
- Performs other cleaning duties as specified in schedule
Desired Experience/Education:
- Possess considerable knowledge of the operation use and care of vacuum cleaners scrubbing machines polishing machines and general housekeeping equipment
- Ability to work under pressure and time constraints (due to schedule and last minute job requests)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evening and weekend assignments
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to physically move through the worksite
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for long periods as well as stooping squatting lifting carrying and pushing
- Wearing of protective equipment such as latex gloves per OSHA regulations is required
- Ability to work independently
- Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions
