Job Description
Undergraduate teaching facilities coordinator. Our undergraduate program currently serves 115 majors and expects to grow. This is a 12month calendar year staff position which is located in the Food Science & Technology building on campus. This position will be responsible for providing coordination and support for the FST undergraduate teaching facilities. The successful individual will work to ensure that courses and student activities within these spaces are well maintained and run seamlessly.
Required Qualifications
BS in Food Science & Technology or related degree; or. equivalent years of training and work experience or relevant laboratory management experience; Ability to work independently and effectively in a small team environment; Demonstrated experience working in a laboratory setting; Familiarity with routine and common laboratory equipment and procedures.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience coordinating organizing setting up a laboratory research space with the assistance of a supervisor; Experience supervising students conducting laboratory research
Familiar with taking and maintaining inventory and supplies
