DescriptionThe quality and regulatory specialist plans implements. and manages patient safety accreditation and regulatory compliance initiatives that decrease risk of safety events based on incident reporting and issues that arise through ongoing monitoring and reporting at Lakeview and across all of the Western Wisconsin sites. Facilitates process improvements that will support the reduction of medical and health care errors and other factors that contribute to adverse patient outcomes. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in healthcare nursing public health business administration or a related field.
- 5 years of licensed professional clinical experience and/or patient safety/quality experience.
- 3 years healthcare experience in project management and/or quality improvement and patient safety
- Experience with performance improvement methodologies (Lean Six Sigma PDSA).
- Strong leadership problemsolving and communication skills.
- Applicable license/certification in professional clinical field and/or patient safety/quality
- Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Reduce the risk of patient harm by assessing patient safety risk developing and implementing patient safety and improvement initiatives and advancing culture of safety initiatives
- Provide support for maintaining safety reporting system reviewing safety events to ensure data integrity and monitoring and evaluating trends
- Assist with the event review process into unexpected events and errors including conducting root cause analysis and facilitating meetings as needed and integrating knowledge of external standards including TJC and other state and federal regulations pertaining to quality and safety
- Collaborate with clinical leaders and key stakeholders to proactively plan and oversee patient safety and accreditation program initiatives of various size and scope
- Ability to provide coaching and partnership with service line leaders and staff in an effort to manage patient safety and regulatory issues and provide appropriate followup
- Stay current in evolving literature science and regulatory/accreditation standards associated with patient safety and conducts research to promote implementation of evidencebased guidelines
- Utilize informatics to prepare and present analyzed information into reports narratives visualizations and presentations as requested
- Conduct proactive risk assessments to mitigate loss and promote patient safety
- Focus on implementing and reinforcing the principles that support a high reliability organization
- Thorough knowledge and capabilities in Microsoft office including visio
- Ability to deal with ambiguity adapting to change through managing risks and uncertainly with the capacity to act without the total picture
- Ability to establish positive rapport and working relationships with those at various levels of the organization from senior leaders to peers to frontline staff.
- Exceptional organizational capabilities and prioritization skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in healthcare administration public health or a related field.
- 13 years experience in project management in healthcare operations
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM)
