For more information on the Seniors Community and Social Services Ministry please visit: Appeals Secretariat Unit within the Ministry of Seniors Community and Social Services administers the appeal process for over 4000 Albertans who are dissatisfied with decisions related to community and social services provided by the Ministries of Seniors Community and Social Services Children and Family Services Jobs Economy and Trade Mental Health & Addiction and Health. This includes decisions on eligibility for services/benefits and benefit amounts. The decisions are reviewed by the Citizens Appeal Panel (CAP).

The Appeals Secretariat Unit plays a crucial role in supporting CAP fulfill its mandate and is committed to the daytoday operations related to the appeals process providing essential support to both CAP and the involved parties. The Unit is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Legislation and Board Analyst to join the team.

Reporting to the Manager Appeals Policy Administration the Legislation and Board Analyst is responsible for advanced policy and procedures work and project management with the goal of ensuring continuous improvement of the appeal process including appeal hearings.
