We are looking for a business savvy Enterprise Data Architect (EDA) someone who interprets and delivers impactful strategic plans improving data integration data quality and data delivery in support of business initiatives and roadmaps. The EDA will perform activities of developing a direction for managing the portfolio of tobe solutions strengthens the impact of and provides recommendations on business information that will need to be available and shared consistently across the organization through the identification definition and analysis of how information assets aid strategies and business outcomes.

You will work closely with the Data AI and Analytics team collaborating on data management and governance solution architecture for data projects implementation of risk and controls for all initiatives. The EDA develops datacentric strategies and provides direction for data architecture best practices for the Organization.

You will collaborate with our business leaders and partners act as a trusted advisor and lead technical transformations and implementations for our dynamic business which covers our extended value chain from Agriculture through manufacturing logistics and commercial including retail / FMCG.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Influence information strategy: By partnering with business unit leadership and through the rationalization of the information value chain the enterprise data architect defines leads and communicates information and data management strategies and plans as well strategic recommendations to maximize the value of information assets via their creation access and use.
• Maximize value derived from data and analytics: Foster value creation using the organizations data assets as well as the external data ecosystem. This includes aiding value creation through data exploitation envisioning dataenabled strategies as well as enabling all forms of business outcomes through analytics data and analytics governance and enterprise information policy.
• Surface information priority: Assess the benefits and the risks of information by using tools such as business capability models to create an informationcentric view to quickly visualize what information matters most to the organization based on the defined business strategy.
• Enhance decision making: Use tools such as business information models to provide the organization with a futurestate view of the information landscape that is unencumbered by the specific data implementation details imposed by proprietary solutions or technologies. Assist decision design.
• Enable effective data and analytics governance: Suggest who can take what actions with what information and under what circumstances. Assist data and analytics leaders and business and IT leadership in developing information governance processes and structures.
• Conduct business information modeling: Create and manage business information models in all their forms including conceptual models relational database designs message models and others.
• Manage risk: Aid the definition of data classifications and data zoning to allow information assets to be immediately identified and proactively managed as more information becomes federated in a digital economy.
• Enable enterprise information management: Ensure that the architecture is used as a lens and a filter to identify prioritize and execute the data and analytic initiatives with clear line of sight to enterprise strategies and business outcomes.
• Secure data and analytic assets: Aid in the analysis of data and analytics security requirements and solutions ensuring compliance with controls and standards across all data initiatives.
• Improve EIM performance: Aid efforts to improve business performance through enterprise information solutions and capabilities such as master data management (MDM) metadata management analytics content management data integration and related information management or information infrastructure components.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS:

• Business acumen and the ability to communicate to executives business domain stakeholders and technical staff alike.
• Experience defining and building enterprise data management policies processes solutions and associated documentation to strengthen data management.
• Develop capability and technology solutions around key data governance areas of data sharing access management data quality management data lineage metadata management and the data catalog records management information risk and controls. Automate data management processes and governance activities related to key governance areas.
• Simplifies the existing data architecture delivering reusable services and costsaving opportunities in line with the policies and standards of the organization.
• Data modeling and information classification expertise at the enterprise level.
• Collaborates and provides guidance to the broader architecture community and delivery teams on data integration standards and best practices.
• Experience working in an architecture environment positioned to house high volumes of structured as well as semistructured & unstructured data (e.g. sensor sentiment geo social text clickstream etc..
• Ability to support highly automated and intelligent analytical functions.
• Understanding of metamodels taxonomies and ontologies as well as of the challenges of applying structured techniques (data modeling) to lessstructured sources.
• Experience with data science concepts as well as MDM business intelligence and data warehouse design and implementation techniques.
• Experience designing and working in Cloud Data Warehouse solutions; preference for Azure Databricks
• Experience with distributed management and analytics in cloud and hybrid environments. Also an understanding of a variety of data access and analytics approaches (for example microservices and eventbased architectures).
• Ability to analyze project program and portfolio needs as well as determine the resources needed to achieve objectives and overcome crossfunctional barriers.
• Knowledge of the SAP emerging technologies such as S4/HANA would be an asset.

KEY QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCES:

• Postsecondary education in Computer Science Software Engineering Management Information Systems or a related discipline.
• Fifteen or more years of experience in multiple architecture domains (business information technology application infrastructure security) and are proficient in generating technical roadmaps and architectures to lead architecture concepts.
• A minimum of ten years experience in Enterprise Data Architecture is highly desirable.
• Indepth experience of designing and implementing information solutions.
• Handson experience with implementing data management programs is preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of architecture tools processes and procedures. Experience with LeanIX is an asset.
• A proven ability to interpret and communicate IT related information and concepts into business language for senior level stakeholders
• Ability to understand the longterm (big picture) and shortterm perspectives of situations.
• Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies.

OTHER INFORMATION

• You will work out of our Global Technology Centre in Toronto ON
• Hours of work are a regular 40hour work week Monday to Friday with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs

Compensation Package:$102700.00$137000.00CAD annually bonuseligibility

The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience skill set education/training and other organizational needs.
