About the role:
Deakin University is looking for casual Exam Supervisors to join our team at the Burwood Campus to assist with on campus inperson supervised exams. All Deakin exams are digital and delivered via PCs or laptops. As an exam supervisor your role will require basic computer skills to be able to support our students during their exams while ensuring compliance with Deakin Universitys exam procedures and policies.

- Physical stamina and mental focus to effectively manage exam facilitation with the capacity to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic and complex service environment including the delivery of computerbased examinations.
- Strong organisational skills and problemsolving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work quietly in the exam venue when examinations are underway.
- Moderately techsavvy Intermediate digital literacy skills in Microsoft Office and relevant technology
- TeamOriented: Proficient in fostering and sustaining positive relationships with colleagues and other Deakin staff.
- Flexibility and availability to work during Deakin exam periods.
- A valid/current Employee Working with Children Check or Victorian Institute of Teaching registration is a mandatory requirement for exam supervision.
- Desirable: Prior experience in exam supervision.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Supervise students (including students with alternative assessment arrangements) ensuring adherence to examination rules and university protocols and procedures to support them during exams.
- Assist in the setting up monitoring and setting down of exam sessions in accordance with the established procedure including specific requirements materials and instructions for each exam as directed by the Senior Supervisor.
- Maintaining alertness for cheating collusion and the use of unauthorized devices web pages or materials by continuously monitoring student screens in the exam room.
- Accompanying students during the examination as needed.
- Ensure that all staff and students are treated with respect and in accordance with the Deakin University Code of Conduct.
- Adhere to policies and procedures related to the conduct of exams understand and comply with the Enterprise Agreement and all other Deakin policies and procedures that govern the conduct of university employees.
