Job Description

Job Description Summary

The Parttime Specialist will assist with ticket sales at the Jackson N. Sasser Fine Arts Hall and Lyceum Concert Hall. Duties to include assisting with event planning and set up answering phones selling tickets assisting patrons ushering and other duties that are required for the smooth running of events.

Working hours to include Box Office shifts between 8 am4:30 pm TuesdayFriday as well as some evening and weekends for events.

Job Description

Responsibilities and Duties Include:

  • Works in the box office to sell tickets distributes calls and handles any reseating issues that may arise working closely with the Fine Arts Hall Manager.

  • Makes outgoing calls to patrons regarding program or event changes and new services or offerings as necessary.

  • Provides excellent customer service to all attendees of a production.

  • Processes subscription orders single ticket sales ticket exchanges and/or refunds and ticket donation requests in an efficient and timely manner.

  • Ensures the fulfillment of house seats comps and trade requests as needed.

  • Consults with management to maintain the highest standards of customer service.

  • Assists as needed in the coordination of activities including setup assistance event coordination and onsite management.

  • Complies with all published College Rules procedures guidelines and laws/regulations governing public employees including but not limited to those related to document retention and destruction FERPA and confidentiality.

  • Provides service excellence through courteous informed accessible and professional engagement.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required: An associates degree or two 2 years of work experience.
Additional Requirements: A criminal background check will be conducted.
