Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology/Anatomy & Physiology
Pacific Universitys Biology and Kinesiology Departments have an opening for a oneyear fulltime teaching position starting Fall 2025 on the Forest Grove Oregon campus.
The teaching load for the fulltime position is up to 24credits across the fall winter and spring semesters. The faculty contract period is August 18 2025 May 18 2026. The position is eligible for benefits
The introductory Biology sequence includes Flow of Energy and Flow of Information lectures and labs. Human Anatomy & Physiology is offered as a twocourse sequence (Human Anatomy in Fall Human Physiology in Spring) each with separate lecture and lab sessions. Both sequences are supported by fulltime lab personnel (ordering setup cleanup etc).
Pacific University has a diverse student population and is particularly interested in candidates who can complement existing expertise in the department and contribute through their teaching and research to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
Requirements include a PhD or ABD in Biology Physiology or related field with teaching experience in Introductory Biology and/or Anatomy & Physiology courses at the college level. Teaching expectations include a combination of lecture and lab sections within the Introductory Biology and/or Anatomy & Physiology sequences.
