About this role:

We are seeking a Trade Surveillance Technical Analyst to join our team and play a crucial role in implementing a new strategic thirdparty Trade Surveillance solution.

Join us in a dynamic role where you can be involved with key responsibilities that include leveraging expertise in international regulations such as MAD/MAR and the regulatory environment within capital markets. Contribute to technology delivery by implementing thirdparty and cloudhosted solutions. Understand data requirements for the surveillance solution and transform data for surveillance purposes. Engage with global First Line Controls and Compliance functions and become part of a global surveillance technology team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technology delivery data analysis skills and experience working in an agile environment. In this role you will:

  • Work with the Vendor and inhouse Architecture Data and Development teams to identify the data requirements identify the appropriate internal sources of that data and work with our development team to build the processes to feed that data to the Trade Surveillance system ensuring the feeds support controls for data completeness.

  • Contribute to the overall project plan. Understand and help to manage dependencies between the resources and stakeholders involved.

  • Liaise with the thirdparty vendor to plan development testing and releases and to raise and track issues.

  • Liaise with the First Line and Compliance Surveillance teams for prioritisation and planning around onboarding of new products coordinating testing and tracking issues.

  • Support First Line and Compliance in the definition of Business Requirements and translate these into more detailed Technical requirements for use by the technology teams where required.

  • Assist with the definition of the postimplementation support and operating model and ensure a smooth transition into BAU for each product as it is deployed.

  • Ensure a period of close monitoring post golive and validate that the solution is sustainable.

  • Plan and assist with of application rationalization activity following the implementation of products on the strategic source.

  • Provide support for additional WF entities who wish to leverage the solution.


Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in Specialty Software Engineering or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience training military experience education.

  • Experience of implementing at least one Market Abuse Trade Surveillance system.

  • Experience implementing a cloudhosted solution.

  • Experience working with thirdparty vendors.

  • Experience working closely with development teams.

  • Experience working on regulatorydriven projects.

  • Experience building strong stakeholder relationships.

  • Experience planning and coordinating application testing.

  • Strong technical business analysis skills.

  • Strong data analysis skills and experience.

  • Strong understanding of Capital Markets products including trade and order flows.

  • Strong understanding of current Market Abuse regulations.

  • Familiarity with project planning and management techniques.

  • Ability to work across multiple initiatives in parallel and prioritise own workload.
