Job Description
Join a growing civil construction team powering major infrastructure projects across Central Queensland.
Schwarz is seeking a qualified and safetyminded Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (Road Transport) to support the maintenance and reliability of our fleet. Based in Gracemere this fulltime role will see you working across a wide range of equipmenttrucks floats light vehicles and heavy earthmoving plant. Youll carry out preventative maintenance field servicing fault finding and repairs to ensure our projects run smoothly and safely.
As our Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (Road Transport) you will play an essential role in the safe and efficient operation of our fleet by delivering highquality maintenance servicing and repairs on trucks floats light vehicles and earthmoving equipment. Your expertise will ensure our plant and vehicles remain reliable compliant and ready to support major infrastructure and civil construction projects across Central Queensland.

What Youll Do
- Maintain and repair trucks floats light vehicles and construction equipment.
- Diagnose faults perform repairs and ensure compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
- Undertake both workshopbased and site servicing (field service).
- Support roadworthy inspections and complete service documentation accurately.
- Collaborate with supervisors and suppliers to maintain fleet efficiency and availability.
- Promote WHS compliance and contribute to safetyfocused prestart/toolbox meetings.
What Were Looking For
- At least 2 years posttrade experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic.
- Background in civil mining or road transport environments highly regarded.
- Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Trade Certificate (Cert III).
- Current Drivers Licence HR preferred.
- White Card.
- Forklift Licence preferred or willing to obtain.
