Scopely is looking for aSeniorSoftware Engineer (Java)to join Looney Tunes team in Bangalore on a hybrid basis!

What Youll Do

• Collaborate with team to design build and maintain new and existing features and products
• Offer input on design and architecture adhering to industry practice for development
• Connect with all team members to establish a pipeline and integrate art assets considering the game roadmap
• Define engineering with industry practice
• Provide production support system diagnosis and troubleshooting
• Build and maintain technical documentation

What Were Looking For

• 47 years of software development experience
• Proficiency in objectoriented programming with Java and C#.
• Experience working on applications using SOA and REST design principles
• Extensive experience in the architecture and development of web systems and APIs
• Experience working with scalable architectures and environments
• Experience with performance testing and tuning applications
• Experience working on multithreaded applications
• Experience with Apache Thrift Framework is a bonus.
• Familiarity with containerbased solutions like Docker.
• Familiar operating solutions running in AWS with EC2 Fargate and RDS.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
• Knowledge of the operation maintenance optimization scalability and elasticity of systems in cloud environments such as AWS or Google Cloud
• Knowledge of automation and orchestration of systems using CI/CD
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as AWS CloudFormation AWS CDK and Terraform
• Understanding of parallel and distributed systems
• Strong understanding of design/programming industry practices and various design patterns
• Experience working in scrum/agile teams
• Excellent communication skills
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
