The Data Warehouse Administrator will help oversee our current Oraclebased data warehouse while helping to plan and realize a migration to our new data warehouse solution designed to store our historical business data for years to come. This role involves optimizing data integration processes ensuring data quality and security and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights. The successful candidate will be a key driver in implementing best practices and maintaining high performance within our data warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
Manage and maintain the current Oraclebased data warehouse environment ensuring optimal performance scalability and availability
Contribute to the evaluation selection and implementation of a purposebuilt data warehouse solution to store historical business data
Design develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for data integration transformation and loading
Monitor data integrity security and quality across the data warehouse
Collaborate with stakeholders including business analysts and data scientists to understand requirements and deliver actionable insights
Plan and execute data migration strategies to transition from the current Oracle database to the new solution
Develop and document best practices workflows and system configurations
Troubleshoot and resolve data warehouse performance and reliability issues
Stay uptodate with industry trends and advancements in data warehousing technologies
Technical Expertise:
Proven experience managing data warehouse data lake or business warehouse environments
Proficiency with Oracle database management including performance tuning and backup/recovery
Handson experience with data warehouse technologies (e.g. Teradata Snowflake (onprem version) IBM Db2 SAP BW/4HANA)
Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT tools and processes
Familiarity with data modeling schema design and SQL query optimization
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python Shell scripting) for automation
Project and Migration Experience:
Experience supporting data migration projects
Planning and executing strategies for transitioning from one database platform to another
Data Governance and Reporting:
Experience with data governance and security best practices
Familiarity with reporting tools like Tableau Power BI or similar
Additional Skills and Certifications:
Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
Certifications in relevant database or data warehouse technologies is a plus
