Job Description
Youve got a sketchbook full of ideas and the skills to bring them to life.
You obsess over line weight color palettes and how thingsfeeland we love you for it.
At Uncommon Goods we design products that surprise and delightand were looking for an Associate Product Designer with a strong illustration background to help us bring original concepts to life. Youll work closely with our Senior Designer and Merchandising teams to ideate sketch prototype and refine products that look goodand sell.
This is more than support workits handson ideadriven and full of room to grow.
This hybrid role works onsite at our waterfront Brooklyn location one to two days a week.
Youll Get To:
- Sketch illustrate and conceptualize original products across Home Kitchen and Gift categories.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to bring those ideas from concept to shelf.
- Develop CADs spec sheets packaging mockups and visual assets.
- Dive into trend research and explore playful modern and artful styles.
- Learn what makes products not just beautifulbut commercially successful.
Youll Thrive Here If You:
- Have 3 years of experience in product design or illustrationor a portfolio that speaks louder than a resume.
- Are a natural illustratorhanddrawn or digital whimsical or refined.
- Know your way around Adobe Creative Suite and basic CAD tools.
- Have a strong point of view and can take feedback like a pro.
- Love turning ideas into real things. (Were not just moodboarding over herewere launching.
Bonus Points For:
- Experience with packaging design or storytelling through product.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials.
- Passion for gifts design and creating things that make people smile.

This is a fulltime salaried position with an annual basesalary range of $65000 $70000. This role is eligible for our annual performance bonus program.
