Job Description
The Systems Engineer III will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining systems and infrastructure that support our enterprise environment. This role requires extensive experience with VMware (versions 78 Cisco Intersight Management Mode Cisco Fabric Interconnect Cisco MDS Switching and Pure Storage Arrays. The ideal candidate will work closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure optimal performance reliability and scalability of our systems.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Design deploy and manage VMware environments ensuring optimal performance availability and security
- Utilize Cisco Intersight Management Mode for monitoring and managing Cisco hardware and software resources
- Configure and manage Cisco Fabric Interconnect systems to optimize data center operations
- Implement and maintain Cisco MDS Switching to ensure efficient and reliable storage networking
- Provision and manage Pure Storage Arrays in alignment with industry best practices and organizational needs
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure cohesive system architecture and integration
- Develop and implement system monitoring backup and disaster recovery strategies
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to virtualization storage and networking
- Automate routine tasks and processes using scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members
- Maintain documentation of systems configurations processes and procedures.
- Participate in oncall rotations for emergency support as needed
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Required:
- 4 years of experience in Information Technology with a focus on systems engineering
- Extensive experience with VMware 78 including knowledge of implementation management and troubleshooting
- Handson experience with Cisco Intersight Management Mode and Cisco Fabric Interconnect
- Proficient in configuring and managing Cisco MDS Switching
- Strong experience with Pure Storage Arrays including provisioning and management
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field
- Relevant IT certifications (VCP CCNA etc.
- Experience in automation and scripting using PowerShell Python or similar languages
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g. Kubernetes)
- Experience in the Mortgage and/or Financial Services industry
