Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Network Systems Engineer that will lead a team that supports the requirements design development test integration and troubleshooting of complex specialized hardware/software systems installed on ground and airborne communication platforms.
Essential Functions:
- Design and develop physical and logical architectures incorporating voice video and data capability across multiple security domains
- Designs and maintains networks (both LAN & WAN) connecting airborne and ground systems via terrestrial and BLOS (Beyond Line of Sight) circuits
- Translate the voice of the customer into system level requirements
- Perform requirement traceability methods and purpose
- Perform systems engineering trade studies
- Evaluate trade studies for accuracy and completeness
- Write subsystem specifications based on system level requirements
- Evaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary system design
- Review and evaluate diagrams to ensure design details trace to system requirements
- Develop and execute network test procedures ensuring system performance and capabilities meet system requirements
- Prepare effective presentations to communicate technical network information to nontechnical professionals
- Lead a team with multiple disciplines of engineering to design a cohesive creditable multiple security domain network and integrate the resulting design in a MILSTD based development environment
Qualifications:
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance which requires U.S. citizenship
- Bachelors degree in an appropriate engineering discipline (Electrical Systems Telecommunications etc. and a minimum of 9 years of applicable experience
- Certification and Accreditation process and implementation of systems that achieved an Authorization to Operate on government networks
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Current Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification
- Experience with Kubernetes deployment/administration
- Experience with SATCOM solutions/protocols
- Experience with HAIPE devices is also a plus
- RedHat Enterprise: Linux
- Experience working with subcontractors and US Government customers
- Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process and implementation of systems that achieved an Authorization to Operate (ATO) on government networks DODAF knowledge
- Experience working government and/or military programs
- Excellent written oral communications skills
- Willingness to travel
- Active Security Clearance Secret or Higher
