How will you make a difference

Clients infinancial services engineering aerospace marine IT and government sectors depend on LRQA to effectively audit their management systems providing assurance of businesscritical compliance and risk management.

As well as undertaking riskfocused audits and making certification decisions yourself youll call on your accomplished people skills to guide and develop other auditors to cultivate positive client relationships and to proactively share feedback that helps us to keep improving the service we deliver.

In return well invest in your training and development to include qualification to Lead Auditor status in several management system standards.

Weve a welldeveloped homeworking infrastructure for when youre not visiting clients and have been a champion of new ways of working for many years.

The role gives you the opportunity to obtain a healthy blend of travel and visiting client sites whilst retaining the flexibility to undertake remote audits when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct certification audits in line with relevant ISO BRCGS or FSSC standards conducting opening meeting to explain the audit process preparing a report and delivering your findings.
  • Conduct audits both onsite and remotely.
  • Ultimately making certification / recommendation decisions against the relevant ISO BRCGS or FSSC standards.
  • Build positive relationships with our customers to ensure long term business growth and identify any business development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to make sure our assessment services give customers valued added support and meet all accreditation requirements.
  • Cross functional collaboration to support effective planning maximise efficiency and deliver in line with KPIs.
  • Customer complaint support.
  • Take responsibility for personal development balancing work safety and life priorities.
  • Ensure up to date with current UK ISO legislation and European Food Safety Standards as applicable to BRCGS / FSSC audits.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • We are looking for someone who has a good level of knowledge and experience across a range of industry sectors including but not exclusively food beverages packaging storage / transport and consumer products.
  • extensive industry knowledge and a strong understanding of best practices. You will have a deep understanding of your field and have a clear vision of excellence.
  • Degree in food science / science a related technical field or industry related experience relevant to the scheme requirements for BRCGS FSSC / GMP typically amounting to 5 years.
  • Food safety certificates are beneficial such as HACCP Level 3 minimum BRCGS FSSC ISO22000.
  • ISO9001 would also be preferred but not essential
