Role purpose:
Perform surveys and assess the design manufacture and inservice aspects of engineering assets againstagreed Codes Standards specifications and procedures using experience and knowledge appropriate forroutine solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform technical inspections/assessments against defined specifications/scope and provide advice for servicedelivery within agreed parameters that include budget constraints and contractual requirements.
- Assess/recommend the time/value of the work to be undertaken for internal/external clients within an agreedfee/cost structure and issue quotations up to an agreed limit and LRQAs standard terms andconditions meeting job/project requirements.
- Mentor coach give technical guidance to colleagues as appropriate to build capability capacity and supportnetworks to leverage knowledge transfer and application.
- Contribute to internal/external client management as appropriate by acting as point of contact to effectivelymanage client and LRQA relationships and make recommendations based on client feedback to improveService Delivery and to help build the business.
- Produce the deliverable (reports/certificates/documents) within the agreed broad parameters in an appropriateformat and take responsibility to review other employees work as requested. Discuss/present deliverable tointernal/external client at a senior level and suggest alternative solutions where appropriate.
- Seek new opportunities with existing clients and identify new clients within the region supporting Sales andMarketing activities
- Undertake and maintain agreed personal authorisations. Follow up training plans perform activitymonitoring/document monitoring and pursue continuous professional development. Maintain a high degree ofdiscipline knowledge and awareness.
- Conduct all activities in line with internal procedures accreditation schemes legislation and industry standards.
Technical / Professional Qualifications / Requirements:
- Batchelors degree in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Production Engineering from a recognised University.
- Familiarity with National and International Codes and standards for materials pressure equipment and mechanical items. Candidate shall possess sufficient relevant previous working experience to demonstrate comprehensive understanding ofthe relevant requirements knowledge and application
- NDE LevelII qualification in RT UT PT & MT
- ASME AI and / or IBR CP qualification is highly desirable and will be preferred.
- Competent in MS Office suite of software
- Proficiency in English language commensurate with the work (both written and verbal)
- Effective interpersonal skills
- 610 years relevant working experience
