The Ryan C. Harris Learning Teaching Center (LTC) at the University of Dayton is seeking a dynamic creative and collaborative leader to drive professional learning initiatives for campus educators. At UD we are deeply committed to highquality student learning and recognize the growing demands on educators as they navigate evolving student needs emerging technologies and new teaching strategies. This fulltime role is essential in supporting faculty and staff development providing them with the tools resources and community they need to excel. Through inperson and remote workshops cohortbased programs and campuswide initiatives youll play a key role in empowering educatorshelping them enhance their teaching while ultimately improving student learning outcomes.
Reporting to the LTCs Executive Director the Director of Learning and Teaching Innovation will design implement market and assess professional development programs that foster transformative learning at UD. This role collaborates with faculty and unit leadership to build and sustain a vibrant community where educators collaborate innovate and excel. Key focus areas include student success innovative pedagogy evidencebased teaching practices and classroom assessment. In addition to leading programming efforts this position will recruit internal and external facilitators to share their expertise with campus educators.
The role requires strong critical thinking sound judgment and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative flexibility and excellent organizational skills while fostering meaningful campus relationships.
This position oversees the LTCs professional development calendar ensuring a diverse and impactful range of programs. Responsibilities also include facilitating the Midterm Instructional Diagnosis (MID)a formative feedback process for facultyand managing the universitylevel annual faculty awards nomination and selection process. Additionally the role involves collecting and analyzing data to assess program effectiveness and inform future initiatives.
Communication and outreach are essential. The successful candidate will help to develop marketing strategies engage stakeholders and maintain the LTCs website. They will also play a handson role in hosting professional learning events ensuring a welcoming and engaging experience for all participants.

The LTC provides a collaborative and supportive environment dedicated to fostering professional growth and innovation in teaching and learning.
After an appropriate onboarding period this position can be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement up to two remote days per week at the discretion of the department. New employees may begin a hybrid schedule upon approval from the supervisor successful completion of an orientation period and completing the remote work checklist.
1. Bachelors degree.
2. At least 5 years of experience in a higher education environment with an understanding of faculty and staff development.
3. Experience designing leading and facilitating professional learning opportunities.
4. Strong project management skills including time management problemsolving prioritization and stakeholder engagement.
5. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with experience developing compelling content across multiple formats including web newsletters presentations video audio infographics and promotional materials.
6. Ability to collect analyze and interpret data to assess program effectiveness and support decisionmaking.
7. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to engage campus faculty staff and administration.
8. Technical proficiency with digital tools web platforms and communication technologies.
9. Strong relationshipbuilding skills with experience collaborating across departments and engaging key stakeholders.
10. Commitment to advancing a culture of belonging engagement access and respect in professional learning and institutional initiatives.
While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:
1. Graduate degree (Masters or Doctorate).
2. Higher Education classroom teaching experience.
3. Proven experience developing and implementing strategic communication plans that align with institutional goals.
4. More than 10 years of experience designing and leading faculty development initiatives in higher education or a comparable setting.
5. Creative and strategic thinking with the ability to implement innovative approaches to faculty learning.
6. Collaborative experience working on projects grants or publications with colleagues across disciplines.
7. Demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of discretion and independent judgment.
8. Supervisory experience.
