About the Role:

The Team:The Real Estate and Building Materials/Construction team is comprised of analysts located across various offices including London Paris Frankfurt Milan Madrid Stockholm and Dublin. We are a dynamic group responsible for over 120 rated entities across Europe. We are focused on delivering highquality analysis and excellent client service within transactionoriented value collaboration and a global mindset fostering a culture of inclusivity and continuous learning.

The Impact:In this role you will provide oversight of a portfolio of 3540 Building Material and Construction issuers and offer insightful credit risk analysis that influences rating decisions. Your interactions with Finance and Treasury teams of rated entities will enhance our understanding of market dynamics while your engagement with investors and market participants will support our commitment to transparency and communication in the debt markets. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the credit landscape within the will demonstrate leadership by empowering and developing team members ensuring alignment with S&P Globals purpose and are 23 rating analysts in this sector team under oversight of this role and you will further their professional development. You will also be responsible for the surveillance oversight of this portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight of the surveillance of the issuers within this portfolio ensuring both analytical consistency appropriate rating transitions and adherence to regulatory deadlines.

  • Mentor 23 rating analysts on their career journey with S& and coach team members leveraging emotional intelligence to foster inclusivity and trust.

  • Formulate and clearly articulate credit rating recommendations based on comprehensive analysis of financial statements and debt documentation.

  • Develop insightful and forwardlooking company and sectorlevel credit rating research.

  • Interact with Finance and Treasury teams of global and regional rated entities to gather critical information.

  • Communicate with investors and market participants through highquality sector and company reports presentations and direct engagement.

  • Thoroughly document supporting analyses to ensure clarity and transparency in credit rating decisions.

  • Present and defend conclusions to the credit rating committee in a coherent and logical manner.

  • Manage relationships with rated issuers and investors ensuring effective communication and service delivery.

  • Collaborate with other analysts within the Ratings division to enhance crosssector knowledge and adaptability and creativity in problemsolving ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.

What Were Looking For:

  • Demonstrated people skills with an ability to flex managerial styles as to lead with empathy and adaptability fostering a supportive environment.

  • Have strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of financial statements and accounting concepts. An S&P Global employee at this level would typically have 8 10 years of experience and a masters degree in relevant fields such as Finance Economics or Business Administration.

  • Ability to and interest to work on financial modelling to analyze companys capital structure liquidity and forecasts.

  • Experience in analyzing debt/instrument documentation and transaction structures.

  • Preferably a previous experience in a global organization (bank accounting firm asset manager large corporate) and ability to work in an international and regulated business environment.

  • Excellent communication and presentation to articulate complex ideas and negotiate effectively across functions and cultures.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a teamoriented track record of building consensus and engaging stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated initiative and ownership of tasks.

  • Commitment to highquality work and continuous improvement.

  • Strong problemsolving skills and adaptability to changing to make informed decisions and adapt to new information.

  • The ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
