Job Desription:
Subject matter expert with comprehensive knowledge of job area and indepth knowledge of project management. Manages large complex project initiatives of substantial importance to the organization with minimal oversight or direction. Communicates within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to practices processes and approaches. Makes significant improvements in processes systems or products. Provides input into new products/processes and implements operational plans that have measurable impact on business or functional results.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ability to plan and direct offshore cable installation.
- Oversee deck operations required in the installation of cabled ocean sensors.
- Providecustomer support through the performance of onsite installation as well as overseeing any necessary diagnoses troubleshooting service and repair of complex equipment and systems.
- Checkout and approves operational quality of system equipment.
- Instructcustomers in the operation and maintenance of the system.
- Serveas company liaison with customer on administrative and technical matters for assigned projects.
- Interpretcustomers needs and clarifies if the responsibility for problem resolution falls to sales personnel customer support reps or engineers.
- Responsible for the design layout testing and evaluation of mechanical and electromechanical devices or systems.
- Preparedesign specifications analysis and recommendations for presentation and approval.
- Analyzemechanical requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
- Investigatesolutions to product or process problems.
- Consolidates results of mechanical design elements for assigned projects.
- Conductinvestigations involving the origination or modification of material component or process specifications or requirements.
- Performproduct development activities including drawing board layout and interpretation/implementation of customer specifications and documentation requirements.
- Ability to travel for extended periods 23 weeks).
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- Desired experience training or degrees include: marine or mechanical engineering vessel operation as captain or mate deck rigging operations and planning vessel navigation.
- Ablityto generate technical proposals and installation plans.
- Familiar with CAD program (SolidWorks AutoCAD etc..
- Experience in offshore construction.
- Familiarity with DOD contracts.
- Ability to obtain a US DOD Secret Clearance which requries US Citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
- Familiar with offshore operations.
- Experience in diverelated activities
- Active US. DOD Secret security clearance.
